Job Title: RESERVOIR GEOLOGIST

DESCRIPTION:

Focus will be on continental and shallow marine reservoir systems in both data-poor and data rich areas. Accountable for delivering the knowledge and workflows needed for world-class reservoir interpretations including:

  • Defining reservoir properties by carrying out detailed measurements in wells, including data acquisition plans.
  • Planning of development wells in terms of location and trajectory and putting well proposals together in your multidisciplinary team.
  • Planning 3D seismic acquisition, processing and interpreting the seismic data using new techniques.
  • Supporting team research projects and ensure that geological risk and uncertainties in the subsurface are adequately recognized and addressed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: B.S. in Geology; M.S. preferred

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years experience, including 5 years familiarity with output from geostatic model and/or engineers dynamic model.
  • Field appraisal development planning and subsurface risk and uncertainty.
  • Ability to incorporate other subsurface disciplines, including reservoir engineering, geophysics, petrophysics and production technology into a comprehensive interpretation.
  • Must have international experience.
  • International travel required.
